Binnington is elite
Look, as somebody who interviewed Allen for three years, I'm qualified to talk about the Blues' current goalie situation. The Snake isn't our starter, and that's OK...
"Winnington" is. No debate there.
Why? Well if you've remotely followed the Blues since the beginning of the new year I don't need to explain.
I'm going to let those two images speak for themselves. However, I will talk about where the Blues are goalie-wise.
The Blues have a goalie who is making Allen look bad. Remember the last time somebody did that? I'll give you a hint: rhymes with shmian shmelliott.
Brian pushed Jake to be his best. Jordan is doing the same.
I used to be an Allen apologist, but that was because I had to interview him after some of his worst games. You realize these guys are more than athletes when you listen to them after every game. Emotions become mechanical and you can almost guess what the players are going to say. I always felt bad for Allen because the journalists asking him questions would absolutely pepper him. They'd corner him into saying things. That's not cool, in my opinion.
You know what else isn't cool? Not being able to critique your goalie when he is playing poorly.
Jake isn't our starter now. Jordan is.
Jake is not elite. Jordan is.
I want these two to compete against each other heading into the playoffs. That's the only way the Blues will have a chance. They won't go far if their back-up can't back-up.
Tweet @ me. Let's talk Blues. Thanks for reading.
