After Brian Elliott earned three consecutive shutouts, Jake Allen will start in tonight's battle against the Washington Capitals, 6:00 p.m.

The Blues FINALLY face the Capitals. However, our friend T.J. Oshie might not make the game. He has the flu, which makes me wonder if he is just trying to get out of an on-ice meeting with Ryan Reaves.

I've been looking forward to this game since the schedule came out last summer. Washington is sitting pretty in first place with 111 points. That's 14 more points than Dallas/STL, who are tied for second place.

Troy Brouwer will have his first meeting with the Capitals wearing a Blues jersey. It should be interesting to see if he plays differently against his old team.

Here are the projected lines:
Forwards
Schwartz- Lehtera- Tarasenko
Fabbri- Stastny- Brouwer
Jaskin- Berglund- Backes
Upshall- Brodziak- Reaves

Defense
Shattenkirk- Pietrangelo
Gunnarsson- Parayko
Edmundson- Bortuzzo

Goalie
Allen
