The Blues (40-20-9) extended their winning streak to five games with a 5-2 win over Anaheim in St. Louis last night. They will battle the Dallas Stars tonight with the hopes of becoming first in the Central Division. Ronald Martinez/Getty Images "With everything we've gone through, we wake up tomorrow morning in a hockey game for first place," Blues coach Ken Hitchcock told media after the game. "Nobody would have thought of that because everything these guys have been through. That's been a feather in their cap. Pretty impressive that we've been able to maintain a competitive level despite missing key guys all year." The Blues are 10-3-0 in their past 13 games. Jake Allen, who stopped 26 of 28 shots in Friday’s win over the Ducks, has been standing on his head since Brian Elliott got injured. Today's game will start a five-game road trip for the Blues.
