Can we expect a Blues/Hawks Winter Classic?

Blues fans have been craving an outdoor game against the Chicago Blackhawks for several years. The game would bring both fanbases—CHI and STL—to Busch Stadium.

One concern is it isn't cold enough in St. Louis. But there was a stadium series in L.A., so we could definitely make it happen. FS-Midwest mentioned it on air:

It has been a dream of mine to see the two teams clash together in an outdoor game. Even a Classic against the Predators or Detroit would work because both their fan bases could travel to STL in order to fill Busch Stadium with screaming fans.

Yes it would be amazing. The only downfall is if my Blues lose how long do I wait for a rematch. Lol

With Coors being a major sponsor to the NHL, it's safe to say Busch Stadium will never see a Winter Classic.

Coors sponsors the Stadium Series... NOT the Winter Classic.

Bridgestone sponsors the winter classic. So it's entirely possible to see a winter classic at Busch stadium

Coors sponsors the NHL as a whole. The only way it happens is if the Rams get their new stadium built

I'm sure the NHL wants to keep Coors happy because they are a huge sponsor, however, Coors will not drop their sponsorship because a winter classic is held at Busch stadium. There Is plenty of fan base for a game to happen. Even if the Rams leave and we don't build a dome, I see us getting a winter classic at some point in the next few years. Because let's be honest, the blues are legit (disregarding post season) and our rivalries are kick ass.

The inverse: why would AB (Busch) let a Coors sponsored event I.e. The WC or the SS be played in their stadium?? Yes, if they build the new football stadium perhaps, but this is still an AB town. Maybe, just maybe after the Miller InBev merger is complete, but not a chance before then... But prove me wrong and I'll still be elated!!

While I'd love to see my beloved Blackhawks destroy the Blues in a Winter Classic match-up I don't think it'll happen until the new Rams Stadium is built on the north side of Downtown. GO BLACKHAWKS!
