I've been craving another battle at Busch ever since the Blues downed the Blackhawks 4-1 in the 2017 Winter Classic. But with the All-Star game heading to the Lou in 2020, is it too much to start thinking about our next outdoor game? Back in 2016 I predicted the Blues/Hawks Winter Classic game. Ever since that dream became a reality, I've been counting down the days until our next outdoor matchup. The St. Louis Blues have only had one outdoor game in their 52 years of existence. The Pittsburgh Penguins and Philadelphia Flyers joined the league in 1967—like the Blues—but they've been in WAY MORE outdoor games than us (Penguins: 5, Flyers: 4). The Blackhawks have been irrelevant for quite some time now, so they won't be getting another game anytime soon... But they've already had five! Hell, Los Angeles has had three and they don't even know what snow is. You'd think that—after winning the Stanley Cup—the Blues are being tossed around in outdoor game conversations. I don't care if it's a Heritage Classic or a Stadium Series. I don't care if we're home or away. I just want another one. And I think we'll get one in the next five years—maybe sooner. Jordan Binnington wasn't on anyone's radar during the 2017 Winter Classic. Since then, the Blues have added a new head coach and a talented core. It's about time this new team gets a gig on the big stage. Here's a video of me going behind the scenes at our Winter Classic: Do you think we deserve another one? Who would you want to face? PJ Cox
