Most Blues fans looked like they just witnessed a Blackhawks player kill their dog when they got the news: Elliott is injured. Here's an injury update with a splash of 'rant'. Jeff Curry-USA TODAY Sports UPDATED ARTICLE: Click Here Why you shouldn't be that dramatic? He took a shot to the hand. Yeah, it could have been worse. Per Lou Korac, Hitchcock said he's ok, and he'll follow up later today (tomorrow morning). Steve Ott's situation will be revealed in 24 hours, according to Hitch. Fabbri and Bouwmeester have not been cleared, but it's possible for them to be cleared before tomorrow's game against the Chicago Blackhawks. They were both skating today. Ott has not skated in several days. Remember my rant? I was just talking about how injuries are making Hitch's life easier as we head into the playoffs. With Allen injured, Elliott was clearly the starting goalie heading into Round 1, right? Well, now what? Both of our goalies are injured. Should Brodeur strap on the pads again? I don't feel confident with a goalie that I've seen play one or two games (after the Blues have a multi-goal lead). As writers worn us fans to wait for the announcement, our hair is turning gray—at least the hair that we haven't yanked out during the past month. Look, we're O.K. with missing out-skaters. We haven't played a game with our full roster healthy this season (check that for me). But when we don't have our goalies... Let's be realistic now. Elliott took a shot to the hand. Allen is supposed to be reevaluated at the end of the regular season. So we should have two goalies ready or close-to ready come Round 1. But how are we going to shutdown Kane, Toews, Panarin, ect.? Eh, let's save that for another rant. Let's go Blues? P.J. Cox
